Services
Ready-Mixed Concrete (RMC) Product Certification
Since 1 October 2010, it has been a Building and Construction Authority requirement for Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) suppliers of construction projects in Singapore to have third-party certification based on SS EN 206, SS 544-1, SS 544-2 and SAC certification criteria “CT 06 – SAC Criteria for Ready-Mixed Concrete Producers”. This applies to all plants supplying ready-mixed concrete for structural use in Singapore, including precast structural elements manufactured locally or overseas.
Our team in Asia Inspection and Certification Pte Ltd have been involved in this certification scheme for over 15 years and were one of the first Certification Bodies accredited by SAC. We have completed certification for more than 100 concrete batching plants (RMC and Precast) in Singapore, Johor and Batam.
Precast Concrete Product Certification
The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) announced the certification of BS EN 13369 Precast Concrete Products to all interested Certification Bodies in December 2022 and this scheme is regulated by Building Control Authority (BCA). This scheme will be set mandatory by 4th quarter 2024 for all Precast Concrete Producers who are licensed under BCA Specialist Builder (Precast Concrete Works). With the introduction of BS EN 13369:2018 Precast Concrete Products certification applicants who wished to apply or renew their Specialist Builder license under precast concrete product fabricator will be required to submit a copy of the Certificate of Conformity issued by an SAC Accredited Certification Body.. Asia Inspection and Certification Pte Ltd has been accredited by SAC for this scheme.
Structual Steelworks Fabricators Certification
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) Standards Committee have jointly launched SS EN 1090-1 & 2:2018 – Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium Structures on 23 January 2019. The standard is adopted from BS EN 1090-1:2019+A1:2011 and BS EN 1090 -2:2008+A1:2011 with the aim to harmonize local and overseas structural steel fabrication processes.
Structural Steel Fabrications (BCA Specialist Builder License for Structural Steel works and Singapore Structural Steel Society (SSS) categorized S1 – S4) with their own steel fabrication and/ or manufacturing workshop (local or overseas) will be required to obtain Factory Production Control (FPC) certification for Structural Steel Fabrication.
Asia Inspection and Certification Pte Ltd is accredited by Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) for SS EN 1090-1 & 2:2018 Execution of Steel Structures and Aluminium Structures and is able to provide one-stop solution along with other product certification.
